Tiki in the Middle of Nowhere!

Haven't carved much this past month. I was busy collecting logs for winter so that I can stay productive. I also went to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan deer hunting. While there I did carve this tiki face on a dead pine. It's in the middle of nowhere and is sure to stir up questions once someone happens upon it. I'll be busy carving again next week and will post as I go. Aloha my friends.

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween from Tuga's East Coast Tikis. A big thank you and congratulations to Jeff Bannow of the Lili-Kia Club. He is the proud new owner of "Freaky Threeki" and "Baby Kon". Never fear though, if you missed out on these two great tikis there's more in the making. Feel free to contact me for inquiries and special requests.

Until next time Aloha and stay Tiki,

King Gotapee

As I carved this one it suddenly dawned on me that he really looks like he's got to pee. It's funny how sometimes the names just come to you. Aloha my friends.

Jon Wicks location carve Completed

I was finally able to get over to Jon's house today and finish up the location carve that I've been working on. I wasn't sure how this one was going to turn out because of the abnormal lean in the trunk. I am very pleased with the results though. This tiki stands approximately 6'5" tall. I was unable to get a weight on him because the trunk is still rooted. He was fun though. Until next time, Aloha my friends and stay tiki.

Location Carve Day Two

Well today was kind of a bust. Felt like I had just gotten started and the rain moved in. I did get a little accomplished though. I'll have to return next week to finish some odds and ends then apply the stain and sealer. Until next week Aloha my friends and stay tiki!

Location Carve Day One

This is a location carve that I am currently doing. This is the completion of day one. I've made good progress, but this carve has been interesting because of the extreme lean and abnormal curve of the tree which is still rooted in the ground. I'll post finished pictures soon.

Maoi Head/ Rada Nui

Here's a quick Moai head that I did for a friend.

"Baby Kon" tiki in progress

Started a new tiki today. Wasn't sure just were I was going with this one until I started. As I started laying him out it was clear that "Baby Kon" was on his way. Baby Kon is 3' tall and is just a fraction of his big brother Kon Kane which stands 7'6". He needs to dry out a little so I will post the finished product next week. At this point Baby Kon is still available, feel free to contact me with any inquires
